Student Achievements

The College would like to congratulate the following past and present students on their recent achievements:

  • Veronica Keen (Year 11) Specialist Cricket Student who was not only selected to represent and captained WA at the 2022/23 National Indigenous Cricket Championships (NICC) at the age of just 16, she also finished up the competition by taking out both the Batting Award and Player of the Championships Award for the Women's Division. An absolutely amazing achievement! Since then she represented Australia playing in Cricket Australia's National Women's Indigenous squads in Vanuatu in early May. She has also been selected in Australian Lacrosse Network's 2023 U18 National Tournament Women's All-Tournament Team following representing WA in April's National Lacrosse Championships in Perth.
  • Angus Bloxham (Year 12) who represented WA at the U17 National Championships in Tasmania during January.
  • Jake Egan (Class of 2020) for his player of the match honours in the WA Premier Cricket Colts League T20 Grand Final in February.
  • Finlay Gordon (Year 12) who, following his captaincy of the WA Ice Hockey team at the U18 National Championships in July 2022, has been selected in the Australian National U18s Men's Ice Hockey Team for the World Championships in Bulgaria in March.
  • Luke Taylor (Year 12) who was selected via audition to attend Sydney Elite Dream, a 6-day workshop with top choreographers from Australia and America, in January 2023. He's also been cast in Carmelo Entertainment's upcoming production of "The Greatest Showman".
  • Mia Taylor (Year 9) who was selected via audition to attend the Perth Dream Creative 5-day intense workshop where she performed a 30 second solo and group dances at the final show.
  • Jock Parkinson (Year 12 Student and 2023 Athletics Captain) who recently competed in the WA State Athletics final, coming away with 2 Gold, 2 Silver and a Bronze in the U18 age group. As a result, Jock is now eligible for selection for the WA State U18 Athletics Squad.
  • Class of 2001's Simone Dow  on Voyager's amazing results in the Eurovision 2023 Grand Final, placing 9th out of 26. We wish Simone and Voyager the best as they return to tour Australia after touring in the UK and Europe.
  • Dash Pocock (Year 8) who was selected as an athlete for the WA State Gymnastics Team (Trampoline) to compete at the 2023 Australian Gymnastics Championships in the Gold Coast this May, representing WA in Synchronised Trampoline, Trampoline, Double Mini Trampoline and Tumbling. At Nationals Dash finished with the Bronze medal in the Tumbling event.  He also placed 13/19 in Trampoline and 6/12 in Double Mini Trampoline.
  • Mitchell White (Year 11) who represented WA at the National Lacrosse Championships in Perth this April.
  • Stephenie Massaboi (Year 10) who has made the East Perth Rogers Cup team. She has made a massive contribution to Interschool AFL teams at JFSC in the last 3 years and we look forward to seeing her pull on the JFSC jumper again this season. The Rogers Cup is considered the lead talent development competition for young female football players in WA and nurtures aspiring AFLW players to grow their skills and take their football to the next level.
