Enrolment Information for Year 7-12
Enrolment Policy
At John Forrest Secondary College, we are proud to offer a supportive and inclusive learning community where every student is engaged in challenging, diverse and inclusive curriculum. We believe that this motivates students to reach their potential and encourages excellence. Whether you're joining our incoming year 7 cohort or transitioning to our school community, we understand that enrolling in a new school can be a significant step for families.
This enrolment policy outlines the enrolment process, including who needs to enrol, how applications are assessed, and what documentation is required. Our aim is to make this process as clear and straightforward as possible, while ensuring we meet the requirements set by the Department of Education.
Who needs to enrol?
In Western Australia all school-aged children must be enrolled in school and attend every day. All children must attend school up until they are 16 years old. 16- and 17-year-olds must be enrolled in school or a training organisation, be employed or be in a combination of school/training/employment. All children are guaranteed places in their local schools.
