Over the last few weeks of Term 2, the Year 8 Student Councillors have been running a project with the Year 8 cohort to increase the awareness and importance of Men’s Health for the month of June.
For our College community, we put a particular focus on the Mental Health of Men and Young boys as this is the most common issue they face in today’s society. Studies show that Men between the ages of 16 and 24 are more likely to experience depression or anxiety than females.
During form time, Year 8 students were asked to colour in and write messages to encourage Men to speak up with the hope of creating conversations.
The councillors, with the help of some of our prefects, have put up a display in the canteen for all staff and students to observe. Great work by our Year 8 Councillors and students.
